Protagonist Points

Post by GreenKnight1294 on Mon Aug 03, 2015 1:32 pm

This is a fresh idea for characters getting mechanical rewards for staying active and helping advance the plot. One example could be getting an extra ability or a raise in one stat in some manner. All the changes must make sense roleplay-wise when it comes to a character's experience in the apocalypse, so they won't be rewarded early on. So far, the maximum limit of these points will be 2, and they'll be added to the character sheet when needed.

These points will be awarded only as a reward based on the following criteria:

  • Character development within the story (may include Free Time threads); how your character grows to get accustomed to the zombie apocalypse is very important.
  • Contribution to the main plot and events; when your character always has something to say and a plan to suggest, as opposed to keeping their mouth shut and waiting for the story to progress without them.
  • Reminding us of our humanity (for most non-psychopatic characters); because the psychological impact of such an event is more often than not pretty severe and improves character development.
  • Interacting with other characters often; doesn't imply all our characters in the stories have to be heroes, some could be evil.
